WARNER, New Hampshire - Warner Power has announced an enhanced electric arc furnace power system and control scheme*. This offers improved control over arc ignition and arc stability, as well as reducing flicker and oscillation.
Warner Power's SmarTran System can substantially reduce transformer losses.

WARNER, New Hampshire - Independent studies have shown that many distribution transformers operate at 
average loads as low as 20-25% of their rated power, where transformer efficiencies deteriorate significantly. With the nationwide effort to reduce energy consumption, improving building efficiency has become a prime target. As higher building efficiencies are achieved, this will reduce transformer loads further, with the expectation that average loads maybe as low as 12% of nameplate rating. At this point transformer losses may be as high as 5% of the total power consumed.

WARNER, New Hampshire - Warner Power has recently rolled out new igniter technology which greatly improves ignition performance with DC Xenon lamps, relative to existing technology. Without resorting to excessively high voltages, or excessive energy, which can have a detrimental effect on component life, this new circuitry sustains and develops the initial arc 'streamers' as the full current is developed. This assures optimum hot and cold 'strikes' with reliable first-time ignition, every time.
