President and CEO Ed Randall explains, "We are introducing a line of highly innovative, energy-efficient transformers to the US market. We believe this is the right time, as commercial and industrial consumers are looking to cut energy costs, and go 'green'. This exciting new product aligns with upcoming Federal transformer standards, which are expected to require 30% lower losses, compared to the current standard and approximately 50% lower losses, compared to older transformers in service".
In addition Warner Power will be introducing its SmarTran® transformer management technology, which can cut core losses by up to 66% compared with conventional solutions. SmarTran was featured as a finalist in the most recent New Hampshire High Technology Council "Product of the Year" competition.
The Hollis facility will be Warner Power's primary production center for these new energy-saving solutions. It will also provide additional production capacity for certain other products, as Warner Power's business continues to grow. Initial installation of new plant and equipment will be taking place during the months of September and October, with the new facility expected to be fully operational by November 2011.
Warner Power expects to fill approximately 15 to 25 new positions to support this expansion, for both professional and highly qualified production employees. These new positions are in addition to the 30% increase in jobs in 2011 at Warner Power.
Warner Power gratefully acknowledges the strong interest and continuing support for the company's energy efficiency development programs, by U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen and New Hampshire Governor John Lynch.
