WARNER, New Hampshire – "It's been a big day for Warner Power", said CEO Edward C. Randall, as he provided details of the visit by US Senator Jeanne Shaheen, accompanied by Assistant Secretary Cathy Zoi of the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE).

"This was a fact-finding visit, to learn more about this Company's exciting energy-saving technology. We are placing great emphasis on enhanced-efficient dry-type electrical power transformers and associated 'Smart' controls. Over the next few years, these will create approximately 150 new high-technology 'Green Jobs' in Warner".

Warner Power reports that its enhanced energy-efficient transformers have the capability of significantly reducing the amount of electrical energy consumed by the entire nation, as well as significantly lowering greenhouse gas emissions.

Randall and the Company's Senior V-P, Peter Amos, demonstrated the manufacturing process for Hexaformer transformers. Randall emphasized that "the inherent high-efficiency of Hexaformer® transformers is leveraged by Warner Power's SmarTran® control system (patent pending), which extends transformer efficiencies well beyond the Department of Energy's present 'TP-1' efficiency standard. These combined systems feature an advanced design that reduces power losses up to 60% compared with the 'clunkers' in service. They can also save on critical raw materials".

Amos added, "with millions of aging transformers in service throughout the U.S. electrical distribution system, transformer losses are estimated to represent up to 5% of all the electricity generated. The potential savings are huge. Even saving just 1.5% nationwide equals 60TWh/year*, which is over five times New Hampshire's annual electricity consumption. Over 10 years, this would save up to $50Bn in energy and 420,000,000 tons of harmful carbon dioxide emissions".

*(1TWh = 1 Terawatt-hour = 1012 watt-hours = 1,000,000,000 kilowatts being consumed for 1 hour.)
