Manager Mechanical Design Engineering
This is a new position that would be a career path for an EE with demonstrable project management and team leadership experience. This would be the first step on the management ladder, with possible advancement opportunities to Director of Engineering in due course.

Minimum qualifications are a BS degree in Electrical Engineering.  Experience with magnetics (transformers and inductors) and/or power systems would be a significant advantage. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience with evidence of successful supervisory roles as a team leader or project leader, in a fast moving, multi-tasking "job shop" environment, as well as longer-running programs. The candidate must have excellent computer skills in an engineering/manufacturing environment. A proactive 'self-starter' profile is sought, with a disciplined metrics-driven approach and good interpersonal skills.

Key functions will be to manage all aspects of a busy engineering department, particularly relative to scheduling, drawing approvals and releases, meeting deadlines and providing effective support to manufacturing. Equally important will be the implementation of DFMA to improve designs and reduce costs.

The department comprises 4 engineers, 3 mechanical designers plus additional support staff and contract designers.

The position reports to the Senior Vice-President (Sales and Engineering).

Senior Design Engineer - Power Systems
The position offers the opportunity to take full responsibility for the engineering of major power systems contracts. This includes project definition, conceptualization, design, design reviews, project planning and execution, through manufacturing support, test validation and start-up. Some travel is required both domestically and overseas. Experience in leading small design teams would be very helpful.

The ideal candidate will be highly innovative and will have at least 7 years relevant experience in AC and DC power supplies up to 5MVA, for industrial heating applications, including both analog and digital controls (hardware and software). Knowledge of reliability analysis would be helpful. BSEE is required.

Application Engineer
Application Engineering is a key function that defines technical solutions, working directly with customers, as well as indirectly, in conjunction with field sales. Application Engineering performs a key internal liaison role with Engineering. Job responsibilities include: understanding and communicating product technology; analyzing and interpreting customer requirements; developing and utilizing industry-specific knowledge of applications to propose optimized solutions to customers; and all costing and quoting activity.

Candidates will ideally have some experience with SCR based Power Supplies and Dry Type Transformers/Inductors and should have excellent verbaland written communication skills. BSEE (or equivalent) is required.

The position is located in Warner NH, an unspoiled rural environment offering excellent sporting and recreational opportunities and affordable housing, yet closeto major cities and airports

Design Engineer - Power Systems
Candidate must be BSEE or MSEE, with at least 5 years experience in our field.  Candidate must have knowledge of electrical power engineering and industrial strength 3 phase power controls up to several MVA, (using SCR/IGBT, etc.) and associated electronics, together with PF and harmonic management experience.  Knowledge of transformers, reactors and magnetics integration is strongly desired.  Must be able to work in a fast paced job-shop environment, flexible and multi-tasking.  Must be effective working with and supporting manufacturing and test departments.  Experience in an ISO 9001 environment with professional document control systems as well as UL/CSA/CE certification requirements.  Confident in dealing with customers directly, including travel from time to time, possibly overseas.  Good computer skills and relevant design experience.  Good salary and comprehensive benefits.  Relocation assistance may be possible.

Lean / Continuous Improvement Manager
The Lean / Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the company's Lean and Continuous Improvement activities to attain cost, quality and World Class goals.

Key responsibilities for this position include applying continuous improvement strategies to meet customers' needs, partner with cross-functional teams to develop strategies, identify and evaluate areas of improvement.  Establish and maintain exceptional relationships with customers (internal and external).  Mentor the Company's Executive Team in the successful application of the Continuous Improvement System.  Lead and drive the Company's Continuous Improvement System including all lean, variation deduction, project management, and change catalyst tools.  Develop specific department objectives to support the company's business objectives, create action plans and monitor progress to ensure expected results.  Recruit, motivate, and develop an internal, high performing Team.  Ensure company-wide familiarity and adherence to continuous improvement policies and procedures.  Develop a thorough expertise for Continuous Improvement.  Remain current on market trends, economics, best practices, and the needs of the business.

This position requires a BS degree in Engineering, Business or equivalent.  A Masters degree or equivalent is encouraged.  Seven years of management experience in leading change in a manufacturing or technical environment is required.  Thorough understanding of broad business and manufacturing practices is preferred.  Thorough understanding and application of Lean principles including Kaizen, 5S, Pull Systems, Kanban, Set-Up Reduction, TPM, Value Stream Mapping, and Visual Factory.  Thorough understanding of multiple business areas including Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, New Product Development, Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control.

This position reports directly to the Vice President of Manufacturing and is a member of the President's Staff.

Manufacturing/Process Engineer
Interfaces with design engineering and manufacturing to optimize the manufacturing process.  Suggests significant process improvements and machinery upgrades.  Acts as advocate for manufacturing during the design process in existing  and new product designs.  BSEE Degree preferred, BSME or equivalent.  Ten years manufacturing experience in process environments, electro-mechanical experience. 

Manufacturing Team Leader - Electrical & Mechanical
This position requires an individual who has a background as a shift supervisor/foreman and someone who has a working knowledge of electrical-mechanical assembly of large power supplies, wiring control cabinets, logical controllers, DC transformers, etc.

Prior experience of 5 - 10 years is required in a hands-on entrepreneurial environment supervising multiple project teams for prioritization of projects and management of a flexible workforce.  Other requirements consist of passing a pre-employment drug screen and the ability to lift 35 lbs.  Must have a high school diploma or GED.

Material Specialist
The Material Specialist is primarily responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments while performing the following duties; review production schedules and related information and confer with department supervisors/leads to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track materials; examine material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications; arranges in plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules; responsible for selected cycle counts in the manufacturing facility; manage aspects of the scrap program; validate all material requirement for jobs one week or more in advance of the manufacturing date; and expedite materials for buyers as directed.

This individual should be highly motivated, eager to learn and detail oriented.  Must be able to manage more than one task at a time.  Stockroom/material handling and computer literacy essential as well as a high school diploma or GED..

This position requires some heavy lifting and good physical stamina.

Winders 1st & 2nd Shift
We are seeking additional Winders for the Power Systems Winding Department, reporting to a Production Supervisor.  The Winder winds various sized coils used in electrical equipment or as components for large power supplies, according to winding specifications.

To succeed in this role, you must meet the following criteria: have the ability to read and write simple instructions, correspondence and memos; basic math skills and ability to use a tape measure; ability to follow instructions; problem solving skills.

You must be able to stand, operate foot pedal and reach with hands and fingers while performing the duties of this position.  Frequently lifting/moving up to 30 pounds is required.  Lifting devices are available for lifting weights in excess of 30 pounds.

A high school diploma or GED is required.

Stackers 1st & 2nd Shift
Seeking additional stackers for the Power Systems Stacking Department, reporting to a Manufacturing Engineer.

The Stacker performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to produce products such as transformers and power supplies.  Duties include but are not limited to; use of certain machinery is required such as wet saw, chop saw, hoist and shear; works on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along the line; bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together.

Qualified candidates should have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.  Also must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all unit measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
